Prophetess Alisa Gibson was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from University TN Health College of Health Sciences. There she earned a Bachelor of science in Nursing, then graduated from Friend International with a master’s degree in Biblical Studies. At the age of 18, Prophetess Gibson was diagnosed with a rare disease which caused her prayer life to accelerate. After numerous near-death experiences God, the Holy Spirit, walked into her room and healed her instantly. This spiritual experience increased her hunger for prayer and for the Holy Spirit. This sensational hunger led God to birth in her spirit and anointing for intercession and prophetic prayer. From this the New Awakening Prayer ministry, “Sound the Trumpet ” was born. The ministry is founded in Amos chapter 3 verse 6 & 7.

Prophetess Gibson was a licensed minister for 20 years through Grace Christian Fellowship Church. Later she joined New Life Memphis church lead by Bishop Kevin B. Willis Sr. There she accepted the call to the office of the Prophet. Prophetess Gibson currently serves as pastor of the Prayer Ministry and Pastoral Counseling Team. She teaches prayer school monthly and equips church leaders for intercessory and prophetic prayer.
